Sharon June Vastola

DOVER – Sharon June (Dold) Vastola, 83, of Dover, PA, passed away, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital.  She was the wife of the late Ronald B. Vastola who passed away, April 24, 2021.

Mrs. Vastola was born on September 26, 1942, in Buffalo, New York and was the daughter of the late Roland and Evelyn (Wirl) Dold.

She graduated from South Park Senior High School in New York.  She loved to sew for her family, prepare family meals, baking, enjoyed her family and her grandbabies.  She had a strong faith and a wonderful church life.  She was a member of First Church of Hanover.

Mrs. Vastola is survived by her daughters, Rebecca L. Rohrbaugh and her husband, Ashley of Hanover, PA, Carolyn M. Veraldi and her husband Dominic of TX, and Melissa I. Hayes and her fiancé Hugh McWilliams of Red Lion, PA, her sons, Ronald M. Vastola and his wife Carol “Bea” of Hummelstown, PA, and Christopher R. Vastola and his wife Jennifer of Reinholds, PA; and son-in-law, Matthew Hayes, eight grandchildren, Katie Nelson, Andrew Rohrbaugh, Rachel Eyler, Emily Griesemer, Jonathan Hayes, Leanne Geiger, David Rohrbaugh, and Lexi Jenkins; five great grandchildren, Maddie Nelson, Noah Tracey, Kenzie Nelson, Jacqueline Geiger, and Quinn Eyler.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ronald Dold and Kevin Dold.

Her viewing will be from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 North Queen Street, Dover, PA.  Her service will begin at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Friendship Community Church, 3380 Fox Run Road, Dover, PA.  Her visitation on Tuesday at the church will be from 11:00 to 11:30 AM.  Her burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA.
