Robert Joseph Bievenour
York – Robert Joseph Bievenour, 91, of York, PA, passed away Friday, June 27, 2025, at UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA.
He was born August 23, 1933, in York and was the son of the late Lewis and Blanche (Clapsadle) Bievenour.
Robert was the widower of Shirley Halsey Bievenour with whom he shared 51 years of marriage. He was a graduate of York Catholic High School. He retired from Duplex Products. Robert was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church; a life member and past commander of West York VFW Post 8951; a member of Shiloh American Legion Post 791; Viking Club; and Prince Athletic Club. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.
Robert is survived by his daughter Robyn L. Bievenour; his sons, Michael J. Bievenour and his wife Deborah; Paul R. Bievenour and his wife Tammy; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a half-brother Lewis J. Bievenour, Jr. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and James Bievenour; and his sister Sarah Hughes.
A memorial service for Robert will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 N. Queen St, Dover, PA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be held in Greenmount Cemetery, York with military honors provided by York County Veterans Honor Guard.
