Mervin F. Shearer

YORK- Mervin "Frank” Shearer, 78 of York, passed away, Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York, PA.

Mr. Shearer was born November 10, 1946, in York, PA and was the son of the late Mervin E. Shearer and Mary E. (Hunt) Shearer.

He graduated in 1964 from Susquehannock Senior High School in Glen Rock, PA. He was employed by PoolPak and was a member of the Brodbecks Band and Transport for Christ.

Mr. Shearer is survived by his son, Bryan D. Shearer of York, PA, his brothers, Thomas Shearer of Gibsonville, NC, and Dana Shearer of York, PA, and his sister, June Smith of York, PA. He was preceded in death by his brother, Kermet Shearer and his sister, Gayle Shearer.

His memorial service will begin at 6:30 PM, Friday, April 4, 2025, at Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 North Queen Street, Dover, PA. His visitation will be from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, Friday at the funeral home. His burial will be private in Zion Shaffer's Cemetery in Seven Valleys, PA.  Officiating at his service will be Reverend Richard Hair.
