Marianne L. Seiders

YORK – Marianne L. (Smith) Seiders, 75, of York, PA passed away, Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital, York, PA.  She was the wife of the late John R. Seiders who passed away September 3, 2020.

Marianne was born on April 1, 1950, in York, Pa and was the daughter of the late Paul and Josephine (Young) Smith.

She graduated in 1968 from West York Senior High School in West York, PA and later graduated in 1994 from York County School of Technology with a degree in nursing.  She was employed by GTE for over 23 years and retired in 2015 from Health South in York, PA.  She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in York, PA.

Marianne is survived by her daughter, Felicia L. Grove of York, PA. and her son, John R. Seiders, II of York, PA; two grandchildren, Alixander R. Grove, and Jacob A. Grove; her sister, Joanna Creager of York, and her brothers, Paul Smith, III of Collegeville, PA and Stephen Smith of York.

The time of visitation with her family will be Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 North Queen Street, Dover, PA.  Her burial will follow her visitation at Mount Rose Cemetery in York.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Keith Fair from St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
