Lola P. Strickler

YORK – Lola P. (Tharp) Strickler, 84, passed away, Thursday, August 21, 2025. at York North Nursing and Rehabilitation in York, PA.  Mrs. Strickler was the wife of the late Thomas W. Strickler who passed away, July 2, 2014.

Lola was born March 14, 1941, in York, PA and was the daughter of the late Lloyd and E. Ruth (Johnson) Tharp.

She graduated in 1959 from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA.  She was employed for over 25 years with BAE before retiring in 1995.  She volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels.  She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in York, PA

Lola is survived by her son, Scott Strickler and his wife Lori of Dover, PA; her three daughters, Jody L. Frank of East York, Michelle Lutz of York, and Angel Mohler of Dillsburg; nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Irwin, and her brothers, Thornton Tharp, and Michael Tharp.

Her memorial service will begin at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2121 Roosevelt Avenue, York, PA.    Her visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Saturday at the church.  Her burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens in York, PA.  Officiating at her service will be Reverend Brian K. Smith.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
