Lester B. Fink
YORK – Lester B. Fink, 88, of York, PA, passed away, Thursday, May 29, 2025, at York South Rehabilitation Center in York. He was the husband of Joan E. (Burdette) Fink whom he married 66 years ago on November 22, 1958.
Lester was born on September 17, 1936, in York, PA and was the son of the late William and Bertha (Knight) Fink.
He graduated in 1955 from Central York High School in North York. Following his graduation from high school, Lester proudly served in the United States Navy on the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier. He was employed as a welder with Voith Hydro in York for 39 years before retiring in 2002. He enjoyed riding bike, traveling with his wife, NFL, Patriots and Tom Brady. He was a member of North Hills Bible church where he was heavily involved with church activities. The most important thing in his life was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
In addition to his wife, Lester is survived by his sons, Steven Fink and his wife Deb of Dover, Blaine Fink and his wife Sheila of York, and Craig Fink of York; his daughter, Lori A. Sensenig and her husband Jon of Lancaster, PA; 6 grandchildren, Aaron Fink, Eric Fink, Kirk Fink, Kara Hanegaaf, Ryan Sensenig, and Julianna Sensenig, and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by six brothers, and one sister.
His funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 47 North Queen Street, Dover, PA. His viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 AM, Wednesday at the funeral home. His burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Officiating at his service will be Pastor, David Moss. York County Veterans Honor Guard will provide full military honors at the graveside service.
