Leon Zorbaugh Resline
YORK - Leon Zorbaugh Resline, 86, of York, passed away, Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Providence Place in Dover, PA. He was the husband for 55 years to the late Jean "Jeanie" E. (Lower) Resline who passed away March 20, 2019.
Leon was born March 6, 1939, in Yorkana, PA and was the son of the late Howard and Katheryn (Zorbaugh) Resline.
From high school he was employed by Flinchbaugh Engineering for 8 years as a Tool & Die maker. Next, he took a Tool & Die maker position at OSRAM Sylvania for 35 years, where he was a supervisor. He was very passionate about farming and antiques. His early years he had a love for Roller Skating and doing odd jobs for the community which included farming and working on machines. Leon and wife, Jeannie loved socializing with family and friends and attended many dances together. He had a collection of John Deere tractors as well as toys and memorabilia. Following his retirement, he drove truck for Consolidated Scrap Resources and Rockelman’s Heritage Tree Fram and & Landscaping. Leon was a devoted and loving husband and father and a beloved friend to many. One in particular, Donald Cannon, who passed in 2017, where not only co-workers but also lifelong friends. Donald’s daughter Melissa Cannon Workman and her husband Ed Workman went on to care for Leon in his later years. Leon always enjoyed being part of the Workman’s family farm and lent a hand wherever he could in the day-to-day operations of Z&Z Acres Cattle & Hay.
He was employed as a Supervisor by OSRAM Sylvania for 35 years. Later he was employed by Flinchbaugh Engineering for 8 years. He enjoyed roller skating very much and loved going dancing with his wife. Following his retirement, he Drove for CSR and later Z&Z Acres. He enjoyed John Deer tractors and building and repairing things.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Jean E. Resline, his sons, Jeffrey Resline, and Bradley Resline and his sisters, Joyce March and Grace Kinard. Leon leaves behind dear friends, Ed and Melissa Workman and their children, Zachary Workman and his wife Grace along with daughters, Denver and Aspen, Zoey Workman Barshinger and her husband Caleb, daughter, Annestyn. Leon was considered part of their family and will be greatly missed.
Services for Leon will be private. His burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, York, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
