John N. Stough
YORK – John N. Stough, 95, of York, passed away June 17, 2025, at Normandie Ridge in York, PA.
Mr. Stough was born August 24, 1929, in West Manchester Township, York, PA and was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Kessler) Stough.
He graduated in 1947 from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA. He was employed by Dentsply International in York for 41 years before retiring in 1991. He was a member of St. David’s Evangelical Congregational Church in Dover. Mr. Stough proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Mr. Stough is survived by his sister, Arlene E. Thomas of York, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Russell E. Stough, and his sisters, Ellen G. Trimmer, Anna Maye Shewell, and Janet R. Finley.
His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at St. David’s E. C. Church, 2411 Oakland Road, Dover, PA. 17315. His visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Tuesday at the church. His burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York, PA. Officiating at his service will be Pastor Patrick Teaford and Pastor James Ehrman. Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA. Full Military Honors will be provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard.
