YORK – Edward T. “Ed” Gosnell, 84, of York, passed away, Friday, July 4, 2025, at Wellspan York Hospital in York, PA.  He was the husband of the late Verla E. (Bentz) Gosnell who passed away April 28, 2023. 

Ed was born June 7, 1941, in York, PA and was the son of the late Thurlow and Mary (Jarvis) Gosnell.

He graduated in 1959 from Northeastern Senior High School in Manchester, PA.  Ed continued his education by graduating in 1963 from Elizabethtown College in Elizabethtown, PA.  He was employed as a Certified Public Accountant for The Graham Group in York for over 30 years until his retirement in 2006.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and sailing with his wife Verla.

Ed is survived by his two sons, Brett L. Gosnell and his wife Catherine of Pittsburgh, PA and Brad Gosnell of Lowell, MA: his four grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandra, Jackson, and Liam, and his very close cousin, Michael Bowser and his wife Kathy of Maryland.

His memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Paradise Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3241 Church Road, Thomasville, Pa.  Ed's family will receive guests from 10:15 AM until the time of his service. His burial will be private.  Officiating at his service will be his pastor Reverend Sigrid Hipkiss. Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
