DOVER - It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Dusty Shoemaker Jackson, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on April 20, 2025, just one day before her 48th birthday. Dusty was the loving wife of Jason Jackson, with whom she shared 26 wonderful years of marriage; devoted mother to Lydia, Marshall, Savannah, and Heidi Jackson; beloved daughter of Ed and Wendy Shoemaker; and cherished sister of Zach, Kyle, Luke, and Seth Shoemaker.

Dusty was full of life and had a knack for making any occasion fun, often initiating silly games that everyone enjoyed. She loved relaxing on the farm, gathering by the fire, and her loyal dog, Charlie. As the head cook at Weiglestown Elementary, Dusty was deeply committed to the students and cared for them greatly.

Dusty's sudden loss leaves a large void in the hearts of her family and friends. She was taken from us far too soon. She will be dearly missed for her love, laughter, and generous nature.

A service for all who loved Dusty will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2100 Hollywood Dr, York, PA 17403.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
