Dorothy L. Limbert
YORK – Dorothy L. (Rauhauser) Limbert, 95 passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026, at Wellspan York Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert S. Limbert who passed away April 4, 2020.
Dorothy was born on July 7, 1930 in York, PA and was the daughter of the late Clarence M. Rauhauser, Sr. and Ida L. (Gerber) Rauhauser.
She graduated in 1948 from William Penn Senior High School in York, PA. She was employed by Jacks Clothing Store in York, Shiloh Pharmacy and later retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy. She was a member of Shiloh Lioness Club, Shiloh United Church of Christ in Shiloh where she was a member of the Women’s Guild, and Mixed adult Sunday School Class.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lynne M. (Limbert) Bechtel and her husband Jonathan, her sons, Robert A. Limbert and his wife Stephanie, and Steven D. Limbert and his wife Heidi; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Michael, Della Carr and her husband Michael, Carrie Olena and her husband Brad, Ivy, Matthew Bechtel and his wife Kelli, Jennifer Walker and her husband Eric, David Bechtel and his wife Emily and Andrew Bechtel and his wife Adelee, Six great grandchildren; her sister, Janet A. Koontz, and her brother, Wayne L. Rauhauser She was preceded in death by her sisters, Esther, Ethel, Ruthanna, and Lois, and her brothers, Edgar, Eugene, Emerson, Clarence, Jr., Ebert, Glenn and David.
Her memorial service will begin at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Shiloh United Church of Christ, 2251 Willow Road, York, PA. Her visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday at the church. Private burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery in York, PA. Officiating at her service will be Reverend Dr. Melinda M. LaMontagne. Immediately following her service at the church there will be a fellowship meal. Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
