David D. Horn

 YORK – David D. Horn, 82 of York, PA, passed into the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 10, 2026, with his wife by his side at Rest Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in York.  He was the husband of Ruth E. (Deardorff) Horn whom he married 60 and half years ago on October 9, 1965.

 David was born December 29, 1943, in Lower Windsor Township, York County, PA and was the son of the late George and Anna (Barnhart) Horn.

 He graduated in 1962 from Red Lion High School in Red Lion, Pa. He retired in 2009 from Duplex Products in York after 39 years of employment.  He also drove a school van for School Express, Inc.  He was a member of Thrive Church in York.

 In addition to his wife, David is survived by his son, Matthew Horn and his wife, Michele of Fayetteville, NC; his daughter, Christine Barefoot and her husband Thomas of Newville, PA, his three grandchildren, Brandon, Conner and Celeste, and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Levere E. Horn, Sr.

 His funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM, Thursday, April 16, 2026, at Thrive Church, 661 North Newberry Street, York, PA.  His viewing will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Thursday at the church.  His burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery in York.  Officiating at his service will be Pastor Dustin Godshall.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.
