DOVER - Christin Diane Place, 71, of Dover, PA, passed away peacefully and joined God in heaven on 9/23/2025, at 6:25pm.

Chris was born in Spring Lake, MI, in 1954 to the late Clifford and Hazel (Vink) Erdmann. Chris graduated from Spring Lake High School and later moved to Coopersville, MI, where she raised her family. In retirement, she settled in Dover, PA.

Chris spent much of her career in sales and later found fulfillment working as a home hospice aide. However, her most meaningful role was that of a loving and supportive mother and grandmother. Her life was centered around her family and her beloved dog, Finley. She enjoyed concerts, sporting events, fishing, kayaking, and loved spending time in Grand Haven, MI.

Chris will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Steve (Nicki) Place of Dover PA and Greg (Rebekah) Place of Coopersville MI; and by her five grandchildren: Gianna, Addison, Cheyenne, Elijah, and Madelyn. She is also survived by her sisters: Carla (Jeff) Lootens of New Hampshire, Cathy (David) Martin of Grand Ledge MI, and Sarah (Jessie) Sutherland of Spring Lake MI.

She will also be remembered by her nieces and nephews: Tracy Smith, Abby (Ruben) Lootens, Jazmine (Benjaman) Jade, Maggie Pellegrom, Adam Martin, Graham (Jamie) Martin, Spike Martin, along with a wonderful group of friends both in her Dover community and back in Michigan.

A memorial service to celebrate Chris’s life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Leber Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Dover, PA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Pappus House in Thomasville, PA.
