Carroll E. "Goody" Goodling passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at York Hospital. He was the loving husband of the late Bonnie L. (Mitchell) Goodling who died in 2016.
Mr. Goodling was born in York on March 24, 1943. Son of the late James and Deloris (Folkenroth) Goodling.
Goody held numerous jobs over the years, Holiday Inn, Lance Snacks, UTZ Potato Chips and Eastern Market at his chip stand.
Goody was a member of St. Davids EC Church, Dover.
Survivors include three sons, Terry E. Goodling of Maryland, Steve A. Goodling of York and Rick S. Yohe of Hanover; six grandchildren, Amy, Collin, Garrett, Karly, Amanda and Morgan; nine great grandchildren, Evan, Jyllian, Katelynn, Cayden, Harper Rae, Willow, Nora, Urijah and Graham, three brothers, Jay L., Rodger L., and David E. Goodling, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Evan A. Yohe, two sisters, Carolyn Cauchon and Yvonne Goodling and a brother, Keith Goodling.
Funeral service will be held at 12 pm Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. Davids EC Church, 2411 Oakland Rd., Dover. Officiating will be his pastor, Rev. Pat Teaford. The will be a visitation from 11am-12pm prior to the service. Final resting place will be private at the convenience of the family.
